Patients Say. . .
Not surprisingly, this is the first question in most people's minds! The most common feeling during needling is of pressure or distention around a point. A dull ache is also possible.
Acupuncture is never as uncomfortable as an injection at a doctor’s office. Some people feel as if they are floating, or the area needled feels warmer or colder than the rest of the body. Many patients fall asleep during treatment.
If you do feel any discomfort during a visit, please tell me immediately. I can usually adjust the needle and make you more comfortable. If you are very sensitive, or do not want to be needled for any reason, there are other options available. I can use magnetic pellets (which do not break the skin) on points in your ear or on your hands. Shiatsu, a form of Asian bodywork, and herbal therapy are other “needle-free” treatment options.
" My issues have improved so much that I am truly amazed. Being a massage therapist I know the value of natural healing. The results I have experienced have been so remarkable that I hardly remember what I felt like in the past. . . her technique is so gentle and loving with the acupuncture I have a hard time telling when she has applied the needles.
When I come for a session I feel I am in the very best and loving hands possible. I would recommend her to anyone."
